Active Negotiations on the Reorientation of the Moldovan Export Flow From the Russian Market Are Currently Going On

Active negotiations on the reorientation of the Moldovan export flow from the Russiam market are currently going on.

Minister of Economy and Trade Valerii Lazar has said it in his interview for the newspaper «Kishiniovsky obozrevatel”.

He has noted such negotiations are on the level of concrete contracts. Alongside with it, the Minister has said that he would like to believe that Russia will really apply sanctions to the RM.

Speaking about the ban on the export of the Moldovan plant products, Valerii Lazar has underlined that Russia does not use the tariff regulation instruments, but intoduces an import ban, which is impossible without any serious grounds, because it confronts with bilateral and multilateral agreements.

According to him, this ban is purely technical and it was introduced, because the Russian phyto-sanitary service had certain unsubstantiated doubts.

The Russian side considered that there was something wrong with issuing certificates, since the given enterprise has sent flower seeflings with earth to Russia.

“They asked to confirm the fact of the issuance of the certificate and , having not received an immediate reply, introduced a ban on the import of all the products”, - Valerii Lazar has noted. According to him, such cases happen very offen and in such cases the matter is of the information exchange.

The Minister of Economy and Trade has expressed hope that this problem will be solved very quickly on the level of the phyto-sanitary inspectors.
