Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science offers to Moldovan citizens for the 2005-2006 academic year 100 scholarships available for undergraduate students and 5 for postgraduate students.
In compliance with the provisions of the Protocol on bilateral cooperation in the field of Education between the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Moldova and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, those 100 scholarships are open to Moldovan citizens of Ukrainian origin that study Ukrainian language in preuniversity education institution (80 scholarships), to citizens of Ukrainian origin, who didn’t study the Ukrainian language (10 scholarships) and to citizens of other nationalities (10 scholarships).
Asked by REPORTER.MD, sources from the State University of Moldova (USM) specified that scholarships are offered in Journalism, Metrology, Law, Informatics, Biology etc. The largest number of scholarships is offered by the universities from Cernauti (14), Odessa (7), Kiev and Harikov.
Applications should be submitted to the State University of Moldova in the period of 1-14 July.
Last year Ukraine offered the same number of scholarships for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
