“Milestii-Mici” winery was awarded three highest distinctions at the First International Contest of Wines and Alcoholic Drinks that was recently organized in Moscow by the Union of Alcohol Product Market Participants of Russia and “Interexpo” company from Italy.

The Public Information Center (PIC) of Moldova told that the collection wine “Codru”, crop 1987, and the desert wine “Cahor-Ciumai”, 1986 crop, were awarded golden medals. The Grand Prize of the contest was won by the “Milestii-Mici” brand.

Enterprises from France, US, Argentina, Chile, Italy, Russia, Belarus, Czech Republic took part in this wine contest organized as part of the international exhibition of beverages and equipment “Inter-drink 2005”.

Osman Paraguligov, chairman of Russia’s Union of Alcohol Product Market Participants and president of the contest, told PIC that the wines were rated under anonymous tasting rules by a panel which did not know the names of the participants.

Mihai Maciuca, head of “Milestii-Mici” winery, said that starting 2004 the wines of the enterprises won over 70 medals at different national and international contests. This year the Milestii-Mici wine collection was introduced in the Guinness Book of World Records.
