On the evening of March 16, Transnistria unblocked the border crossing points on the Transnistrian segment of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border "Platonovo-Goianul Nou" and "Cuciurgan-Pervomaisk". The movement of trucks, buses and cars also resumed.
According to Ukraine's State Customs Service, the Ukrainian customs bodies clear the goods and passenger means of transport through all the checkpoints located on this segment of state border.
Contacted by REPORTER.MD, Moldova's Reintegration Minister Vasile Sova told that on Friday Transnistria admitted to Moldova over 40 trucks with goods coming from Ukraine. "I cannot say yet that the situation was solved for good. We are trying to establish if this is a temporary measure or this is the triumph of the common sense," Sova said.
Tiraspol agreed to hold talks with Kiev on the situation crated at the border after the introduction of new customs rules on March 3, presidential adviser Nikolai Poludennyi told on Friday in Kiev.
Ukrainian President's adviser said that the blockade of Transnistria was selective, that's why this problem will be solved in the course of time.
Earlier, the Transnistrian delegation repudiated Ukraine's proposal to hold in Odessa a meeting of representatives of Kiev, Chisinau and Tiraspol.
