The Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Youth made public the list of Moldovans admitted to studies in Romania.
Under an order by the Ministry, 399 Moldovan young people, graduates of Romanian high schools, will be admitted to state universities in Romania and receive awards starting with the 2007-2008 academic year.
A number of 522 Moldovan students that finished the ninth grade in Moldova and the eighth grade in Romania will be admitted to studies and receive awards.
The admitted young people will benefit from a monthly award and free accommodation in dormitories. They will receive the same medical assistance as the Romanian citizens. The students in full-time state education will get 50% discounts on local public transport and on the internal road, railway and naval transport during the studies.

The Moldovan young people that have been admitted to studies in Romania will be issued with visas under a preferential regime. The Romanian Consulate in Chisinau will accept applications on September 20 and 21, starting at 13.00.
According to a communiqu? from the Romanian Consulate, the young people will get visas by the order in which they are listed on the website www.edu.ro of the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Youth.
A part of the students will come to the Consulate on September 20 and the rest on September 21.
The students will complete forms of D type that are distributed free at the Consulate. They will stick a photo 3 x 4 cm on the form and attach the criminal record certificate or other document with juridical value, the health insurance for the period of validity of the visa (90 days), the copy of the passport and confirmation that the fees and stay in Romania, in the case of students admitted on a contract basis, have been paid.
